Letter on FAFSA Delays from Brenda Poggendorf, VP for Enrollment Management

An update on the federal financial aid delays

Updated on April 23, 2024

Hello from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø! As you weigh your options and approach a college decision, I hope you’re looking forward to this new chapter in your educational journey. While it is certainly an exciting time, it continues to be an unusual year due to the nation-wide delay in the FAFSA processing timeline.

While 51³Ô¹ÏÍø is currently releasing aid offers, we recognize you may still be waiting on some important information you’ll need to make your college decision. If you have received all your aid offers, please make your decision by May 1. If you need additional time, reach out to your admissions counselor or email us at admissions@rmc.edu. Together, we will find your best path forward.

Haven’t filed your FAFSA?

We ask that you file your FAFSA as soon as possible using our school code: 003733. In order to provide you with a full award, you must take this important step. As soon as we receive your FAFSA results, we’ll make it our priority to get an aid offer to you.

Filed your FAFSA but need to correct errors?

If you’ve filed your FAFSA and received notification from us regarding errors on your form, please contact our Office of Financial Aid at (804) 752-7259 or at financial-aid@rmc.edu. As soon as these errors are resolved, we will work quickly to prepare your award.

Making a college decision is a head and heart process. On which campus will you bloom the most when planted there? Let us know how we can help you with all the pieces that go into your college decision.

We are thinking of you and wish you all the best.

Go Jackets!
