Find the internship that’s right for you

Internships offer a real-world setting for connecting academic learning with future goals. Experiential learning is vital part of the RMC experience, and required for many majors.

Internships for academic credit

The Bassett Internship Program coordinates academic credit for qualifying internships completed by juniors and seniors. These 3-credit-hour internships require a minimum of 130 hours of paid or unpaid supervised work.

Paid and volunteer internships

The Edge team connects students with opportunities for paid and volunteer internships to gain experience in their field.  These are open to all students and may be eligible for academic credit through the Bassett Internship Program.

Why intern during college?

Internships allow students to:

  • Explore a career path before committing to it
  • Network, practice career skills, and expand learning beyond the classroom
  • Discover interests and capabilities, make confident choices about the future, and discover the right path for transition to career or graduate studies

Whichever internship you choose, the experience and life lessons you will gain are invaluable to your future.

When to intern

RMC students intern:

  • During the semester
