Internships

  • Some paid internships may qualify for academic credit, check with your internship liaison
  • Time frame varies by company and internship
  • Application requirements are determined by the specific company and may vary by year and by site
  • Interns apply directly through the company/employing firm
  • Applications are reviewed by the company/employing firm
  • Successful applicants for paid internships will receive wages/compensation as determined by the company/employing firm
  • Students undertaking paid and volunteer internships are encouraged to seek advice from The Edge and to participate in a Pre-Internship Information Session

Grant-Funded Summer Internships

  • Internships in not-for-profit organization in the greater Richmond/Ashland area
  • Availability depends on grant funding
  • No college credit offered or available
  • Available during the summer only
  • Application requirements are determined by the specific granting agency and not-for profit site and may vary by year and by site.

  • Applications are reviewed by both RMC and the specific not-for-profit firm
  • Successful applicants will receive a stipend for a
    pre-determined number of hours of work at the site
