51³Ô¹ÏÍø is a proud partner of the United World College Davis Scholars Program, and is committed to developing a community of UWC student talent on our campus. Admitted graduates of any UWC institution are awarded a full-tuition scholarship that covers tuition, fees, housing and meals.

FAQs for UWC Davis Scholars

How Do I Apply?

You can apply to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø through the Common App OR our RMC Application. There’s no application fee, and no test score requirement.

For a completed application, students should also submit the following:

  • Official high school transcripts for the US equivalent of 9th through 12th grades
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Certificate of Finances
Scholarships for UWC Students

Students from UWC institutions who are admitted to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø are eligible for the UWC Davis Scholarship. This covers all direct costs for the student, including full tuition, housing, meals and fees. The student is left to pay the indirect costs, including the enrollment deposit, health insurance, personal expenses, textbooks, taxes, and travel expenses.

The Davis Scholarship does not cover summer tuition, housing or meals. Students who are permitted to live off campus will not be reimbursed for housing and meals.

The Davis Scholarship is valid for the duration of four years at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, pending the student remains in good academic and social standing.

Deadline to Accept Offer of Admission

Students must choose to accept or decline their offer of admission and accompanying financial aid package no later than May 1. It’s possible to take a gap year and/or defer your admission for up to one year. Students must communicate this to admissions@rmc.edu no later than May 1.

Credit for IB Courses

For most core subjects, students can earn course credit with a 5, 6, or 7 on the IB exam. Please review our IB Credit Equivalency Guide for more information on which courses may transfer into RMC.

Can I Work on Campus?

Yes. International students on an F1 visa are permitted to work part-time on campus, up to 20 hours per week. Students may find and apply for campus job openings through the Edge Career Center upon arrival to campus.

Other Opportunities for UWC Scholars

Schapiro Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF): A summer program that offers students the chance to live on campus for free and participate in independent, paid research. This program’s funding is separate from UWC funding and students must apply to participate.

Honors Program: Honors students enjoy cross-campus benefits, including access to interdisciplinary courses taught by Honors faculty.

: Sponsored by the Davis United World College Scholars (UWC) Program, the focus is to support students in designing innovative and sustainable grassroots projects that promote a more peaceful world. Any RMC student is eligible to apply for the award, which will be used to fund the project.

: Full and partial scholarships are available for enrolled UWC Scholars to study abroad on a Semester at Sea academic voyage (SAS). Applicants should demonstrate significant academic achievements and leadership on in their community. These scholarships are competitive and admission and awarding decisions rest with SAS.
